OneDigital Managing Director update

Wesfarmers today announced Nicole Sheffield will step down as Managing Director of OneDigital in August 2025. Consistent with Wesfarmers’ focus on internal succession for key leadership roles, Wesfarmers has appointed Leah Balter, currently the Chief Transformation Officer, OneDigital, as Executive General Manager to lead OneDigital.

Wesfarmers Managing Director Rob Scott said Ms Sheffield had made a significant contribution to the Group since her appointment in November 2021.

“Nicole has played a pivotal role in our Group-wide data and digital strategy, including  the launch and development of the OnePass membership program and the Group’s shared data platform, as well as helping establish the Group retail media network,” Mr Scott said.

“Nicole’s leadership and drive has helped to develop valuable assets and capabilities, supporting our retail and health divisions and delivering a more rewarding omnichannel experience to customers. We thank Nicole for her hard work and dedication, and wish her well in the next phase of her career.”

Ms Balter was previously the Chief Information Officer and Chief Transformation Officer at Bunnings, where she led the digital and supply chain transformation. Mr Scott said Ms Balter would play an important role accelerating the Group’s data and digital capabilities, including AI, to create shareholder value.

“Leah assumes leadership of OneDigital at an exciting time as we capitalise on progress made in OnePass and OneData, driving value for customers and our retail and health divisions,” Mr Scott said.

“Leah’s experience and track record in senior divisional and group roles mean she is ideally suited to support the next phase of growth in OneDigital. There are opportunities to offer customers an even more rewarding omnichannel experience, while accelerating the use of data analytics and AI to drive growth and efficiency.”

Ms Balter will commence in August 2025, and will report directly to Mr Scott.
