Seventh Chief Executive Richard Goyder
Richard Goyder joined Wesfarmers in 1993 as manager business projects and by 1999 was Managing Director of Wesfarmers Dalgety and later the Rural Division. In 2002, he returned to Perth as Finance Director and succeeded Michael Chaney as Managing Director in 2005. In 2007, he led the acquisition of the Coles Group for $19.3 billion, still the biggest takeover in Australian corporate history.
