Kleenheat regularly reviews its product and service offerings to customers. During the year, it increased the discount of natural gas usage charges to 35 per cent for two years and extended its customer service centre opening hours, so customers can contact Kleenheat outside standard work hours. Kleenheat also established a new partnership with the Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia that offers additional customer benefits.
Supporting farmers to maximise productivity from better use of fertilisers continues to underpin CSBP’s investment in agricultural technology and services. During the year, CSBP collaborated with universities and government bodies to research the effects of fertilisers on the environment and ways to maximise fertiliser efficiency.
Research partners during the year included:

- University of Western Australia;
- Murdoch University;
- WA Department of Parks and Wildlife; and
- WA Department of Water.
Selected examples of collaborative projects include:
- Food Agility CRC On Farm Experiment Project which strives to develop a GIS based analytical tool to calculate response rates and return on investment for fertiliser application; and
- South West River/Nutrient Run off Project which is designed to manage nutrient run-off to protect waterways in WA’s south west region.
WesCEF’s award-winning technology solutions company, Decipher, expanded its services to test new customer requirements in the areas of mining rehabilitation and waste management through a proof of concept. The business now has three arms - DecipherAg, DecipherGreen and DecipherWaste.
